Gourmet Gift Hampers — What Is Actually in the Jar

A gourmet hamper is judged on the second thing the recipient tastes, not the first. Anyone can put a good chocolate on top; the question is whether the dry fruit underneath is the 400 g the label implies, whether the tea is a named flush or "premium blend", and whether the honey came from a forest or a factory. Every hamper on this page lists its contents by weight on the product page, and most of the food comes from somewhere specific: Darjeeling, the Sunderbans, a Kolkata kitchen.

The gourmet hampers

  • The Beautiful Bengal Box, ₹999 — Darjeeling First Flush (50 g), raw Sunderban honey, Khasta Nimki, Tok Jhaal Chanachur, Masala Muri, aam achar and a rice-husk cup. The most-reordered edible hamper we make.
  • Sampann, ₹1,399 — dry fruits, granola and cookies in a keepsake box.
  • Thaal, ₹1,500 — 18 items on an open wooden tray: 400 g of dry fruits, baklava, besan laddu, masala chai, coffee, two kulhads.
  • Shubh Mewa, ₹1,799 — the dry-fruit-and-chocolate box, with ceramic diyas for the festive week.
  • Kanak, ₹5,999 — half a kilo of dry fruit on almond and cashew platters, with a brass diya and a puja set; the top of the range.
  • Cashew platter with 250 g of cashews, ₹1,500, and the golden peanut platter, ₹500 — a single thing, done well.

Tea, coffee and the things that go with them

Duet at ₹999 pairs rose green tea and cranberry coffee with kulhads and a candle; Mewa aur Chai at ₹1,499 adds Kashmiri kahwa and dry fruit; Founder's Hour at ₹1,099 puts coffee, chai and cookies beside a book. The full tea range — a family trade since 1994 — is at tea gift hampers.

Chocolate and small sweet things

The premium chocolate gift box, 25 pieces at ₹1,399; assorted chocolates at ₹200 to slip into any hamper; mishri and a mouth freshener at ₹100 each for the traditional touch at the end of a meal.

Who gourmet hampers are for

Festivals: Diwali, Durga Puja, Poila Boishakh, Eid — the dry-fruit boxes above, and the seasonal edits at Diwali gifts and Durga Puja gifts. Thank-yous and housewarmings: Duet or the Bengal box — something opened that evening. Clients and teams: gourmet hampers are the safest corporate gift across a mixed workforce, and since the September 2025 GST rationalisation a hamper of dry fruits, chocolates and candles is taxed at 5% — until a steel bottle goes in and takes the whole box to 18%. The corporate edit with branding and bulk tiers is at corporate gift hampers; the rate rule is explained in our GST guide.

Freshness, packing and delivery

A hamper is a mixed supply taxed at the highest rate among its contents. Since 22 September 2025, dry fruits, chocolates and candles are at 5%, so a food-and-décor hamper sits at 5%; one 18% item, such as a steel bottle, takes the whole box to 18%.

Deliver to an Indian address at no extra cost; for a courier abroad, enquire with the destination country — sealed jars and teas travel well, and customs rules on food vary.
