Description
WHY THE PLATTERS ARE THE POINT

Work out what is left of a Diwali hamper on the fifteenth of November. The dry fruit is finished. The chocolates went first. The diyas were lit once. And the box — the rigid, ribboned, foil-stamped box that a real share of the price paid for — is flat in a cupboard or already thrown out.

This hamper is built so that the answer is different. The two platters are the gift; the 500g of dry fruit is how they arrive. One is formed as an almond, deeply ribbed with a rolled rim. The other is a cashew, a fanned crescent. They are cast aluminium with a gold finish, they are serving pieces rather than ornaments, and they are the reason to send this box rather than a larger quantity of nuts in a cheaper tray.

**Two things about aluminium that are worth knowing, because they are advantages rather than concessions.** It does not tarnish — brass at this size wants polishing once a season, and these will look the same next Diwali with a wipe. And it is light, so a platter this big can actually be carried round a room full of people rather than sitting on a sideboard because nobody wants to lift it.

500G, AND WE PRINT THE NUMBER

If you are shopping for a dry fruit platter Diwali hamper, the number is the thing worth checking first, and it is the thing this category hides. Here it is: 250g of almonds and 250g of cashews, stated per platter and as a total. It is worth saying why that is unusual: go through this category and count how many listings tell you the weight. Almost none do. The most common complaint about festive hampers in India is that the box looked fuller in the photograph than in the hand — and that complaint exists precisely because the quantity is hidden. Printing it is the cheapest trust available in this market.

THE PUJA SET IS COMPLETE

Most hampers in this bracket include a single diya and consider the ritual covered. This one has a brass lotus diya for the puja itself, two hand-painted diyas for the doorway or the balcony, a Shubh Labh for the entrance, and a roli mouli for the tilak and the thread. That is the evening, properly equipped — and for a recipient who actually performs the puja rather than just decorating for it, the difference is immediately obvious.

WHO IT IS FOR

This is the box for the recipient you cannot send an ordinary hamper to: the senior client, the family you are marrying into, the parents-in-law, the boss. It reads as considered before it is opened, and it survives the comparison with whatever else arrived that week — because a month later, theirs is in the bin and yours is on the table.

For corporate lists it does the same job at scale, and it holds up on a leadership tier where a standard dry-fruit box does not.

Additional information
THE TWO PLATTERS

An almond and a cashew, each cast in the shape of the nut it holds. The almond is an oval with deep vertical ribbing and a rolled rim; the cashew is a crescent with fanned ribbing. Both are **cast aluminium with a gold finish**, and both are serving pieces — sized and shaped to be filled and passed, not to sit on a shelf being looked at.

Aluminium is a deliberate choice and worth being plain about. **It does not tarnish**, so unlike brass at this size it needs no seasonal polishing and looks the same next year after a wipe with a dry cloth. **It is light**, so a platter this size can be carried round a room without ceremony. Wipe them clean; do not put them in a dishwasher, and do not leave anything acidic standing in them.

We have not yet confirmed the platters' dimensions or their food-contact certification, and we would rather say so than estimate. If you need either before ordering — particularly on a bulk order — ask us and we will get you the figures.

THE DRY FRUIT

250g of almonds and 250g of cashews, 500g in total, arriving in their matching platters. Nothing is decanted from a pouch; the platter is the presentation and the serving vessel at once.

THE CHOCOLATES

Eight foil-wrapped hazelnut chocolates in a clear tray — the round, gold-wrapped kind, and the one thing in the box that will be gone first.

THE PUJA SET

A **brass lotus diya**: a footed oil cup mounted on a pierced lotus disc, and the piece meant for the puja itself rather than for the doorway. Brass is the traditional metal for this and it is genuinely brass here.

**Two hand-painted diyas** in a teardrop form, painted in red and orange with fine detailing — for the threshold, the balcony rail or the windowsill.

A **Shubh Labh** for the entrance, and a **roli mouli** for the tilak and the sacred thread. Between them the set covers what a Diwali evening actually calls for, which is the part most hampers at this price treat as decoration.

THE BOX

A shallow rigid MDF board box with a gold crackle finish, lined with gold satin cloth, with the platters set into it and the smaller pieces arranged along the front. It is presentation rather than a keepsake — **the thing worth keeping in this hamper is the platters**, and the copy would rather say that than pretend the box is something it is not.

WHAT WE HAVE NOT FINALISED, AND WILL NOT GUESS

The hamper contains **tree nuts — almonds, cashews and hazelnut** — and that is in the Specification. The full allergen declaration, including dairy and soy in the chocolate, is not yet finalised, so please check with us before sending this hamper to anyone with a food allergy rather than reading it off the names.

Platter dimensions, platter weight, food-contact certification, candle fragrance and burn time, and shelf life on the nuts and chocolates are all being confirmed and are deliberately absent rather than estimated.

FOR BULK AND CORPORATE ORDERS

Nothing in the box is temperature-sensitive or fragile in the way glass is, so it can be ordered ahead of the festival fortnight and held — which is the single biggest operational problem in corporate festive gifting. Send us your quantity and the date you need delivery and we will confirm both, with a GST invoice.
Returns
Hampers are not eligible for return, exchange or refund, with the single exception of a hamper that arrives damaged in transit, which must be reported to the delivery partner at the time of delivery so the claim can be raised.
Please note
Wipe the platters with a dry or barely damp cloth. They are aluminium, so they will not tarnish and need no polishing — but keep them out of the dishwasher and do not leave anything acidic standing in them. Keep the brass diya dry between uses and wipe the oil residue out after each burn. Never leave a lit diya or candle unattended, and keep both away from curtains, children and pets. Store the nuts sealed once the platters are emptied.

The hamper contains tree nuts — almonds, cashews and hazelnut. The full allergen declaration is not yet finalised. Please check with us before sending this hamper to anyone with a food allergy.

FAQs

Questions, answered

10
1What is inside this luxury Diwali hamper?
Two gold platters holding 250g almonds and 250g cashews, 8 hazelnut chocolates, a brass diya, 2 hand-painted diyas, 2 ladoo candles, a Shubh Labh and a roli mouli.
2How much dry fruit is included?
500g in total — 250g of almonds in the almond-shaped platter and 250g of cashews in the cashew-shaped platter. Each arrives served in its own platter, not decanted from a pouch.
3What are the platters made of?
Cast aluminium with a gold finish, one formed as an almond and one as a cashew. They are serving pieces, sized to be filled and passed rather than kept on a shelf.
4Will the platters tarnish like brass?
No. Aluminium does not tarnish, so unlike brass at this size they need no seasonal polishing and look the same next Diwali after a wipe with a dry cloth.
5How do I clean the platters?
Wipe them with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not put them in a dishwasher, and do not leave anything acidic standing in them.
6Is the diya real brass?
Yes. The lotus diya is brass — a footed oil cup on a pierced lotus disc, and the piece meant for the puja itself rather than for the doorway.
7What puja items are included?
A brass lotus diya, two hand-painted diyas, a Shubh Labh for the entrance and a roli mouli for the tilak and thread. The set covers the evening rather than gesturing at it.
8Does it contain nuts?
Yes — almonds, cashews and hazelnut in the chocolates. The full allergen list is not finalised, so please check with us before sending it to anyone with a food allergy.
9Can I order it ahead of Diwali?
Yes. Nothing in the box is perishable or temperature-sensitive, so it can be ordered early and held rather than landing in the same festival fortnight as everything else.
10Can we order these in bulk for clients or employees?
Yes. Send us the quantity and the date you need delivery and we will confirm both, with a GST invoice on corporate orders.
