A kullad is the small tapered cup Indian tea is properly drunk from — no handle, held in the fingers, the right size for one strong cup rather than a mug's worth of lukewarm tea. These are ribbed and tapered in a deep speckled red, and they come as a **pair**, which is the point of the hamper.

Rice husk is the outer shell left after rice is milled. It is agricultural waste, produced in enormous quantity, and pressing it into a durable composite is one of the few genuinely useful things to do with it. That makes the eco credential here a component of the gift rather than a claim printed on the packaging — the reusable object is inside the box, not around it.

Hand wash them. We have not yet confirmed capacity or dishwasher and microwave behaviour, and we would rather say that than guess — ask us and we will get you the number.

THE COFFEE

50g of Cranberry Fusion instant coffee, 100% Arabica, and **it is instant, which we say plainly** — hot water and a stir, no grinder, no filter, no press. That is the right format for a gift: an instant jar gets opened on a Tuesday morning, and a bag of ground beans waits for a weekend that does not arrive. THE TEA

40g of Rose Green Tea, **loose leaf rather than bags**, with visible rose in the blend. A minute or two in water just off the boil is enough; green tea turns bitter if it is boiled hard or left standing.

THE COOKIES

100g of coffee walnut cookies in a screw-lid jar that re-seals. Coffee and walnut is the flavour that works beside either drink in this box, which is why it is the one here.

THE CANDLE

A single-wick lavender candle in a gold-rimmed tin. Lavender rather than a food fragrance on purpose — it is for the hour after the cup rather than during it. Trim the wick to about five millimetres before each burn and let the first burn run until the melt pool reaches the edge of the tin, which is what stops a candle tunnelling down the middle.

Returns
