Personalisation is the one upgrade that money further up the price list cannot buy. A ₹4,000 hamper addressed to nobody is a nice hamper. A ₹900 journal with someone's name on it is theirs.
We do not charge for it, on any order, at any quantity. What follows is what we can actually mark, how long it adds, and where we would advise against it.
This collection holds the pieces that take a permanent mark, rather than everything we can enclose a card with. The distinction matters — a printed card is a message, but an engraved object is a keepsake.
Three different techniques, and they are not interchangeable. Engraving suits metal, wood and bamboo, holds about twenty characters comfortably, and is permanent. Printing suits ceramic, glass, fabric and paper, allows more characters and colour, and is the right choice for a logo. A handwritten card suits everything, costs nothing, and is still — after all the technology — the thing recipients mention back to us most often.
On a family gift, naming the household on the card lands better than a generic festive greeting. On a corporate gift, naming the individual rather than the company is what separates a gift from a distribution.
Individual names across a large order is the single most requested thing we do at Diwali and the one most suppliers quietly decline. We do it. What we need is a clean spreadsheet — one row per recipient, with the exact spelling you want marked.
Two practical warnings from experience. Names are checked against your sheet and not corrected, so an error in the file becomes an error on the object. And per-person marking adds days to a bulk run rather than hours, which pushes your approval deadline earlier — see corporate Diwali gifts for how the full timeline works, or Diwali gifts for employees if you are marking gifts for your own team.
A ready-to-ship gift with a handwritten card dispatches on the normal schedule. Engraving adds a few days. Photo-based personalisation adds a little more, because we proof the image before it is committed to a surface that cannot be undone.
For Diwali on 8 November 2026, that means personalised orders should be placed by the third week of October, and bulk personalised orders confirmed by mid-October. This is the category where late orders genuinely cannot be rescued, because there is no stock to pull forward — each piece is made for one named person.
Some gifts are made worse by a name on them. Anything the recipient may want to pass on or re-gift. Anything where a logo would sit across the working surface of an object they are meant to use daily. And devotional pieces — an idol or a pooja item carries its own meaning, and marking it with a company name reads as branding something that was not yours to brand.
In those cases we mark the box, the sleeve or the card instead, which achieves the same recognition without the awkwardness. Browse the full Diwali gift collection to see what else is available, or luxury Diwali hampers for premium pieces that personalise particularly well.
The mark matters more on some materials than others. German silver and brass Dhanteras pieces take engraving beautifully and are already objects meant to be kept, which makes them the strongest surface for a name and a date. Bamboo, cork and wooden eco gifts take laser engraving with no ink at all, and a burned-in mark on a natural material reads considerably better than a printed logo.
On budget, engraving is free across the range, so personalised Diwali gifts under ₹1,000 carry the same named finish as anything costing four times as much. For companies name-matching across a full staff list, Diwali gifts for employees covers the logistics of it, and corporate Diwali gifts handles bulk personalisation with GST invoicing and multi-city despatch.
