Two Filament Modes

The lamp produces two distinctly different light experiences depending on the filament's position:

Straight vertical mode: When the filament is drawn to the magnetic center and aligns vertically with the lamp's axis, it produces a column of bright, evenly distributed light that radiates through the full height of the glass cylinder. This mode functions as a genuine ambient light source — brighter, cooler in quality, suitable for reading, working, or illuminating a room section. Curved organic mode: When the filament has settled into an arc position — curving away from the vertical axis — the light concentrates in the arc zone and radiates asymmetrically inside the cylinder. The portion of the glass that the arc faces glows brighter amber-orange; the opposite side of the cylinder is dimmer. Feather Touch Control and Brightness

The base disc contains a feather-sensitive touch control — a button that requires almost no pressure to activate. A single light touch cycles through the brightness levels. 2How long does the battery last on a full charge, and how is it charged?

Battery runtime depends on the brightness setting: at dim (Level 1) the runtime is longest, extending across multiple evenings; at medium (Level 2) the runtime is meaningful for full-evening ambient use; at bright (Level 3) the current draw is highest and runtime is shorter.
