The Happiness Story vs BoxUp vs IGP: Which Corporate Gifting Company Fits Which Brief (2026)

Last updated 19 September 2026. We are one of the three companies compared here, so the method is stated first and every fact about the other two is taken from their public pages as of 11–19 September 2026. Where a company does not publish a fact, the table says so rather than guessing; "not published" is not "not available".

The short answer

BoxUp
Widest premium catalogue
1,920 products in sitemap
IGP
One recipient, one date
same-day in metros
THS
Branded programmes, facts stated
MOQ 25 · GST · sample · 24–48 h

BoxUp is the choice when the brief is maximum choice at the premium end and the buyer is happy to work through a very large catalogue. IGP is the choice when the recipients are individuals on specific dates — a client's birthday tomorrow, a colleague's wedding next week — in a metro where same-day delivery exists. The Happiness Story is the choice when the brief is a branded programme for a team or a client list — 25 to a few thousand units — and the buyer wants the minimum order, GST invoice, sample, dispatch time and delivery model in writing before a quote.

How the three were compared

Six criteria, each answerable from public information: whether a minimum order is stated; whether GST invoicing with HSN codes is stated; the branding methods described; whether a physical sample before a run is stated; the delivery model (single address, multi-address to homes, international); and catalogue breadth counted from the public sitemap. These are the six questions our top 10 corporate gifting companies in India guide uses, applied to the three names buyers most often shortlist together.

A published fact is one a buyer can read before asking for a quote. "Not published" is not "not available" — it is a question to ask in writing.

When BoxUp is the right call

A buyer who wants to see hundreds of premium options, has time to shortlist, and is gifting at the higher end — BoxUp's catalogue is roughly eight times the size of ours by sitemap count, and its corporate programme states custom logo printing and GST billing. What to ask for in writing, because the public pages do not state it: the minimum order for your quantity, whether a physical sample is available before the run, and the dispatch model for home delivery to many addresses.

When IGP is the right call

A company sending individual gifts to named people on specific dates — a client's birthday, a partner's anniversary, a colleague's wedding — in a city where same-day or midnight delivery exists. IGP is one of the largest consumer gifting platforms in India, and for one recipient on one date it is hard to beat. What it is not built for: a 300-unit branded run with one GST invoice, a sample, and dispatch to 300 homes as one programme. For that brief, ask a bulk supplier.

When The Happiness Story is the right call

A programme — employees, clients, dealers — where the buyer needs the facts before the purchase order: bulk tiers from 25 units, one GST invoice with HSN codes, a physical sample before the run, ready-to-ship dispatch in 24–48 hours, and delivery to one office or to individual homes across cities, all stated on the corporate gifts pages. The range is curated rather than vast — corporate gift hampers with contents listed by weight, bulk giveaways from ₹149 a unit, gifts for employees, eco-friendly corporate gifts — and the signature piece is the Beautiful Bengal Box, which companies send at Durga Puja and Diwali.

Where it is not the right call: a single gift to one person tomorrow in another city (IGP), or a brief that starts with "show me everything premium" (BoxUp). And a 5,000-unit run of printed apparel belongs with a print-led merchandise house, not with any of the three.

Three questions that settle most shortlists

  1. Is it a programme or a gift? Many recipients, one brief, one invoice — programme; one recipient, one date — gift. Programmes go to a bulk supplier; gifts go to a consumer platform.
  2. Do you need the facts before the quote? If procurement asks for MOQ, GST treatment and sample policy in the RFQ, shortlist the vendors who publish them; the others will still answer, but later.
  3. Where does the box go after the contents are gone? If the answer matters — a keepsake case, a tray with an engraved logo — weigh curation over catalogue size.

The tax side of the decision — input credit blocked on gifts, the ₹5,000 perquisite limit, hamper rates after the September 2025 slabs — is the same whichever company you choose; it is in our guide to GST on corporate gifts. The timeline side is in how long bulk corporate gifting actually takes.

Frequently asked questions

Is BoxUp or The Happiness Story better for corporate gifting?

Different briefs. BoxUp for the widest premium catalogue; The Happiness Story for a branded programme where MOQ, GST invoice, sample, dispatch time and home delivery are stated up front. Ask both for the same three numbers — headcount, per-head budget, delivery date — and compare the quotes on landed cost.

Can IGP handle bulk corporate gifting?

IGP is built for individual recipients on specific dates, with same-day delivery in major cities. Bulk branded runs with one GST invoice, a sample and multi-address dispatch are a bulk supplier's job; check IGP's corporate page for what it currently offers.

Which company delivers corporate gifts to employees' homes across India?

The Happiness Story quotes multi-address dispatch by address count with tracking per parcel; BoxUp delivers pan-India (home-delivery terms not published); IGP delivers to individual addresses nationwide, including same-day in metros.

Do all three provide GST invoices?

The Happiness Story and BoxUp state GST invoicing on their corporate pages; IGP does not publish it for corporate orders. Input tax credit on gifts is blocked under Section 17(5)(h) regardless of supplier.

Which is cheapest?

None of the three publishes bulk tiers, so the only honest comparison is quotes for the same brief. The Happiness Story's single branded objects start at ₹149 a unit and hampers at ₹999; compare on landed cost — item plus branding, packaging, freight and GST.
